Accurately diagnosing clients is NEVER as simple as we were taught. Clients rarely present with a “textbook case” you can neatly match to a DSM® symptom checklist.
Instead, clients come in with an assortment of symptoms across diagnostic categories, complicated health concerns, and various life stressors all mixed together.
That’s why having a clear, step-by-step differential diagnosis process is critical to avoid diagnostic errors and getting an accurate diagnosis.
And on July 7th, you can join Dr. Margaret Bloom—completely free— as she breaks down the DSM-5-TR™ revisions and key diagnostic changes all while providing an easy to follow four step differential diagnostic method.
Packed with case examples, this training is designed to help you master clinical differential diagnosis using the DSM-5-TR™, the ICD-10 and online assessment tools with practical, real-world cases…
Sharpen your diagnostic skills with this free training on the latest diagnoses and codes in the DSM-5-TR™!

Mastering Differential Diagnosis with the DSM-5-TR™
A Symptom-Based Approach
A Symptom-Based Approach
A recent study found that more than a third of all diagnoses assigned to individuals with severe mental disorders include errors, and over half of clients with major depressive disorders are incorrectly diagnosed.
Incorrectly diagnosed clients can’t get effective treatment for their symptoms...
But with the training provided in this workshop, you can reduce these errors and get your clients the help they need.
You’ll have the opportunity to learn and practice a symptoms-based, four-step diagnostic process to cases like clients presenting with multiple problems; a sad, overwhelmed client; and an out-of-control angry adolescent.
And it’s all led by Dr. Margaret Bloom—a licensed psychologist, nationally certified counselor, and former board chair of the Center for Credentialing & Education (NBCC).
She’s provided training on advanced diagnosis for mental health professionals since the DSM-III-R™…
…and in this workshop, Dr. Bloom is going to give you real, practical advice, strategies, and techniques that you can take to your practice immediately. Here’s what she’s going to cover:- The new additions and revisions in the DSM-5-TR™ that impact the diagnosis of mental disorders
- A four-step diagnostic process to accurately identify and code a client’s diagnosis
- A deep dive into common differential DSM-5-TR™ diagnoses for clients with anxiety, depressive, or abnormal cognitive symptoms
- How to differentiate between overlapping symptoms and comorbid conditions to reach the right diagnosis
- What specific information is needed to accurately diagnose clients with a history of trauma
- And so much more!
If you want to master clinical differential diagnoses using the DSM-5-TR™, the ICD-10, or using online assessment tools, this event is for you.
