The time has come for a critical examination of why, despite our best efforts, common suicide prevention interventions fail. Based on new understandings of acute and chronic risk factors for suicide in both community and military populations, Dr. Craig Bryan will address what we think we know may be wrong, and where we as clinicians should be focused instead. In this eye-opening hour you’ll discover:

  • How and why our current models for suicide prevention are going wrong
  • What the new research is showing us that actually reduces deaths by suicide
  • Interventions and models that are being developed for veterans and the general population
