Description
This issue looks at the current and potential impacts of artificially intelligent (AI) therapy on the landscape of psychotherapy, including on therapists’ work lives, as well as on how our work lives impact our overall mental health and relationships. Pieces include a therapist’s reckoning with potentially releasing his own AI therapy bot, considering whether AI can make us better therapists, and a critical look at the rise of big teletherapy companies. Other pieces include a look at what organizational management can teach us about equitable partnerships, work issues at the heart of couples’ conflicts, the unique challenges of retiring as a psychotherapist, helping clients release guilt from grief, tapping as a self-regulation tool, and how a clinical rupture became an opportunity to help a couple in therapy move beyond an impasse.
