This issue looks at the theme of non-ordinary states in therapy, with a particular focus on psychedelic-assisted therapy, which is slowly gaining traction in clinical circles. Pieces include interviews with trauma specialists Bessel van der Kolk and Monnica Williams about psychedelic-assisted therapy, a look at the effects of microdosing, doing couples work with ketamine, and using ayahuasca to treat PTSD. Other pieces include a critical examination of the medical cannabis industry, how therapy without drugs can also create alternate emotional and psychological states, an overview of fixed-role therapy, and debunking the myth of low sexual desire.
