Kristine Eiring, PhD
Dr. Kris Eiring is a licensed psychologist and Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) with over two decades of experience working with individuals at the intersection of mental health and high performance. A member of the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP) since 2016, she is recognized in both the USOPC Mental Performance Directory and the USOPC Mental Health Directory. She sees people in Wisconsin and other states as she is a member of PSYPACT.
Dr. Eiring's relationship with the University of Wisconsin–Madison Athletic Department spans more than 20 years, during which she has been a pioneering force in collegiate sport psychology. She directed the Department's onsite Clinical and Sport Psychology program — serving as its inaugural Director — and has supported student-athletes' mental health and performance since 2003. Her academic contributions include teaching graduate courses in the Rehabilitation Psychology Master's Program, mentoring interns, and teaching an undergraduate course in Sport Psychology.
In her private practice, Dr. Eiring works with athletes at the high school, collegiate, professional, and national levels. She is equally passionate about serving high-performing professionals in other fields, such as medicine, law, and business — bringing the same evidence-based, performance-focused approach to anyone competing at the top of their field.
